How to enable Google Now for iOS outside the US

No comments :

Unfortunately, as with many apps and services, the new Google Now feature is only available to US users, leaving folks in other countries out to dry. But don’t worry, we’ve found an easy way to get around that…

How easy? As easy as installing a jailbreak tweak. There’s a new tweak out this week, [aptly] named GoogleNowEnabler, that allows you to access Google Now in the Google Search app, no matter what country you live in.
The tweak itself is practically invisible. There’s no Home screen icon, or settings to configure. Installing it activates it, and obviously uninstalling it deactivates it. Don’t forget though, you’ll need to the Google Search app too.
Given that I live in the US, I can’t really speak to GoogleNowEnabler’s functionality. But judging by the tweak’s feedback from the public, it seems to work well. Users are reporting instant and smooth Google Now access.
If you live outside of the States, and are wanting to play with Google Now, this tweak is a no brainer. If you’re interested, you can find it in Cydia, in the ModMyi repo, for free.
