Another Impressive App Switching Concept by Auxo UI Designer

Sentry, UI designer of the Auxo fame doesn’t seem to be satisfied creating the most popular and easily our favorite app switcher tweak on Cydia.

He’s back with a new concept for the app switcher, where he again re-imagines how app switching should work on the iPhone.

Sentry points out some of the inherent problems with app switching in iOS currently and possible solutions:

• The need to double-click the Home button to access the app switcher, which he says“intrinsically adds a barrier to the experience”.
• He notes that the app switcher currently feels like a barrier in the user experience. He goes on to explain that if the user is shown the preview of the app he or she is currently using, it will “let the user know how instantly they can jump right back into what they were doing.“ 
• He feels that by providing live previews in the app switching mode can provide a sense of ‘instant access’.
• He also points out that one can get a feeling of speed if the number of steps involved in switching between apps can be reduced.
• It’s an interesting take on the iOS app switcher. Let’s hope a Cydia developer works with Sentry to make this concept a reality
