evasi0n 1.0 Jailbreak For iOS 6.1 – iOS 6 Released
evasi0n, the most eagerly jailbreak of all-time is here! evad3rs dev team has just released evasi0n 1.0 to jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on iOS 6.1, iOS 6.0.2, iOS 6.0.1 and iOS 6.
It is the first jailbreak for iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad mini and iPod touch 5G.
evasi0n is an untethered jailbreak which supports:
- iOS 6.1
- iOS 6.0.2
- iOS 6.0.1
- iOS 6.0
It is compatible with the following iOS 6.x.x devices:
- iPhone 5
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS
- iPad 4 (4th generation iPad)
- iPad 3 (3rd generation iPad)
- iPad 2
- iPad mini
- iPod touch 5g
- iPod touch 4G
- Apple TV 2
It does not support Apple TV 3 currently. It looks like FireCore will be releasing a new version of Seas0nPass that will allow you to jailbreak Apple TV.
It is available for Mac (10.5 minimum), Windows (XP minimum) and Linux (x86 / x86_64).
The user interface of evasi0n looks quite simple and intuitive like the Absinthe jailbreak and evad3rs dev team have indicated it should take about 5 minutes to jailbreak your iOS device.
Here are some important points from the dev team before you download evasi0n to jailbreak your iOS device:
- Backup your iOS device using iTunes or iCloud before using evasi0n. This way you are sure to never lose any data if something wrong happens.
- Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.
- Be patient while the jailbreaking process is running, don’t start iTunes or Xcode in the meanwhile. The best is to not touch the computer until the end of the jailbreaking process.
- If the process gets stuck somewhere, it’s safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Hold and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.
