To be specific, previous Sara wasn’t a real Siri but a ‘Siri Clone’. Over a month, lots of improvement has been made and the developer behind Sara has finally made a decision to provide ‘Real’ Siri experience to users. Sara now allows you to run Siri on your iOS devices via proxy server through Spire.

Sara App made a huge splash online when it was publicly released allowing users to install Siri Assistant on non-supported iOS devices such as iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPad 1G, iPad 2, iPod touch 4G. It was a standalone application which did not required installing Spire tweak or setting up Proxy server. To be specific, it wasn’t a real Siri but a ‘Siri Clone’. The graphic and user interface of Sara was almost the same as Siri virtual assistant. Over a month, lots of improvement has been made and the developer behind Sara has finally made a decision to provide ‘Real’ Siri experience to users.
Yes! Sara now allows you to run Siri on your iOS devices via proxy server through Spire. This becomes the fourth server which is being offered for free to public without requiring iPhone 4S in hand or proxy address – after h1Siri, GRWH SiriServer and i4Siri. The developer is hard at work to add more features and make it more productive as possible. Here is the list of current commands SARA SpireServer can take.
  • Sara chat
  • Wolfram Alpha
  • Weather
  • Alarm (eg. wake me up at 9 am …)
  • Note (eg. Note I love you)
  • Time
  • Call contacts
  • Search (eg. Search Spiderman, Bing Apple,…)
  • Current Location (eg. I’m lost, Where am I)
Upcoming Features:
  • Facebook / Twitter
  • Youtube
  • NBA
  • IMDB
  • Local business search
That said, know that Sara SpireServer is a beta version and there could be some connectivity issues. With that said, head on to read up on the process.
How to install Siri on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch with Sara SpireServer
Step 1: To connect to Sara SpireServer your iOS device must be running on jailbroken iOS 5 and above. If you haven’t, then you can use Redsn0w to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod touch 4G. iPad 2 users can use Absinthe tool.
Step 2: Launch Cydia from your iOS Home Screen and install spire tweak which is available under BigBoss repo. The tweak conveniently loads the complete and stable SIRI interface on jailbroken device. The process will take some time since it will be downloading a 100MB package from Apple servers.
Step 3: Reboot your iOS device.
Step 4: Now that you have Spire tweak installed, open your safari browser on your iDevice and go to: http:// isoftjsc.com/spire.pem (This is a new cert if you already installed the old one, please remove it and install this one). This will open the iOS Profile installer, install the certificate.
Step 5: After your Certificate is installed navigate to: Settings -> General -> Siri and tap the on switch, this will activate the Siri.
Step 6: Enter the following server address into Spire, navigate to: Settings -> Spire-> set Proxy Host. The server address is: https://isoftjsc.com
Step 7: Hold down your home button and Say “Hello Siri” if she says hello back you are connected.
Does it work on your device? Leave your comments please.
